Mercedes SL500 R129 Anniversary Edition Roadster (1 of 500!)

The Mercedes-Benz SL 500 40th Anniversary Edition Roadster is a highly sought-after, limited-edition version of the R129 model, launched in 1997 (produced from March to June '97) and released to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the SL model line.

This edition features special details and finishes unique to this version:

- Paint color: Crimson Metallic (019)

- Leather upholstery color: Parchment (X23)

- Wheels: 17” Ceginus EVO II (a very rare and valuable wheel, found exclusively on legendary Mercedes models such as the E500 Limited and the famous 190E 2.5-16 Evolution II.)

- Special dedicated and branded floor mats,

As well as rich equipment features:

- Wood trim on the center console and doors

- Leather and wood steering wheel

- Heated and electric seats with memory

- CD changer

- Automatic air conditioning

- Electric windows

- Dedicated Mercedes-Benz telephone (in the armrest) with an additional console for remote phone control (in the glove compartment) (glasses)

The car was imported from the United States (I purchased it through one of the companies operating on the market that assists in importing cars from America). The 40th Anniversary Edition Roadster was available exclusively in the USA!).

The car is accident-free and in excellent condition, both mechanically and visually. In my opinion, the mileage (154,000 miles), which is not among the lowest, is nothing to be afraid of (the engine is in excellent condition, runs smoothly and quietly). Limited to a very small number, this version, if maintained in its current condition, will not only provide many positive experiences of owning a classic sports car but will also help maintain its value forever or, as is virtually certain, guarantee a systematic appreciation.

Everything that required restoration, service, repair, or care has been inspected and completed. The interior trim is in very good condition. The leather upholstery, carpets (including the original 40th Anniversary Edition Roadster floor mats!), and the sun visors with lights, for example, are perfect. Cup holders are in perfect condition, working (foldable), undamaged, and uncracked. Mechanically, the car is also in very good condition (service work described below). Both roofs are in excellent condition (soft top new).
