Jeep Delahaye (1953)
A true rarity. Probably the only Jeep Delahaye VLRD in Poland.
The French equivalent of the 1953 Willys Jeep.
Complete, in very good running condition with a low mileage of approximately 20,000 km.
Only 9,623 units produced.
Registered in Poland as a historic vehicle and listed in the register of historic monuments.
The Delahaye liaison and reconnaissance vehicle appeared in 1949 as a successor to the American Jeep. Although it looked very similar overall, it was actually significantly more advanced technically. It had a 4-speed gearbox with synchronization, a locking differential, independent suspension with torsion bars, and a 24-volt electrical system. Like the British Austin "Champ," it was something of a "super jeep." The Delahaye was adopted by the French Army in 1950-1951 to replace Willys and Ford Jeeps. Unfortunately, its technical sophistication proved to be a serious drawback due to the high level of maintenance required and the risk of breakdowns caused by inexperienced drivers. After numerous attempts to resolve these issues, production ceased between 1954 and 1955, with 9,623 vehicles produced, the last of which were manufactured by Hotchkiss, which had taken control of Delahaye in early 1954.

AUCTION FEE
1. The Auction Organizer adds an Auction Fee to the winning bid. This fee is part of the final bid price of the Lot and amounts to 1% of the winning bid, but not less than PLN 2,000 (two thousand zloty) for vehicles. For Lots other than vehicles, valued up to PLN 5,000 (five thousand zloty), the auction fee is PLN 100. The auction fee also applies to off-auction sales if the Lot was not sold at auction.
2. The Final Price, including the Auction Fee, includes VAT.
3. For Vehicles registered in countries other than Poland, the Buyer is liable for any excise tax and other legally required fees, unless otherwise agreed by the Consignor and Buyer. Other taxes and fees may be added to the Purchase Price if this is specifically indicated in the Auction Catalog.
