Mercedes-Benz 280SE (1969)

Timeless Mercedes Luxury from the Golden Era

During the late 1960s, Mercedes-Benz was already setting the benchmark for engineering excellence and luxury motoring. The elegant Mercedes-Benz W108 series—part of the prestigious Mercedes-Benz S-Class (W108/W109) family—represented the pinnacle of executive sedans of its era.

Offered here is a beautifully restored Mercedes-Benz 280 SE (W108) from 1969, presented in outstanding collector condition following a comprehensive body-off restoration

The car was fully disassembled and restored with great attention to authenticity and detail. The elegant grey two-stage paint finish pairs beautifully with a dark beige leather interior, creating a refined and classic specification typical of Mercedes flagship sedans of the era.

Inside, the cabin reflects the craftsmanship for which Mercedes was famous: high-quality leather upholstery, elegant wood trim, and carefully preserved period details that define the luxury atmosphere of the late 1960s.

Under the hood sits the car’s original engine, paired with a manual gearbox—a highly desirable configuration among enthusiasts seeking a more engaging and authentic driving experience.

Following the restoration, the car has covered only 10,085 km, remaining in excellent mechanical and visual condition. It is fully operational and ready to drive, requiring no additional work.

The vehicle is registered as a historic vehicle (classic registration) and is accompanied by an expert appraisal as well as an extensive collection of documentation.

For collectors and enthusiasts of classic luxury sedans, this example represents a rare opportunity to acquire a beautifully restored example of the iconic Mercedes-Benz 280 SE (W108)—a model that helped define the reputation of the modern S-Class.
